It is in the process of switching from the Kambi sportsbook platform to the SBTech platform. Two years later, DraftKings merged with white-label sportsbook provider SBTech and a special purpose acquisition company, and went public on the NASDAQ.
It was initially a DFS (daily fantasy sports) provider, but it quickly pivoted towards sports betting after the Supreme Court overturned PASPA, a federal sports wagering ban, in 2018. Jason Robins, Matthew Kalish and Paul Liberman founded DraftKings out of Liberman’s house back in 2012.
